Course Aim

Understanding Anatomy and Physiology -
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
Gain knowledge about the normal anatomy and physiology of the human body as it relates to orthopaedic health.

Clinical Assessment Skills
Learn and practice clinical examination techniques specific to orthopaedics, such as joint range of motion assessment, muscle strength testing, and neurological examination.
Develop skills in evaluating patients with common orthopaedic complaints, including joint pain, deformities, and functional limitations.

Course Aim

Diagnostic Imaging Interpretation:
Familiarise participants with interpreting common orthopaedic imaging modalities, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans.
Understand the role of diagnostic imaging in orthopaedic diagnosis and treatment planning.
Fracture Management and Casting:
Acquire practical skills in managing fractures, including fracture reduction and immobilisation principles.
Learn techniques for applying casts and splints to stabilise fractures and soft tissue injuries.
Introduction to Orthopaedic Procedures:
Gain exposure to basic orthopaedic procedures, such as joint aspirations and injections.
Understand the indications, contraindications, and potential complications of these procedures.
